lone_defender: (I'm so sorry)

Jack didn't find her.

Neither did the Doctor.

If they had, she'd probably have recovered faster, but it was for the best that they didn't. Sometimes, she needed to scold herself and pull her own self together, without the benefit of someone offering her comfort. She'd botched the one chance she'd have to see her family again, and it was entirely her fault.

Now she had to make sure she hadn't lost her Doctor, too, when she'd finally found him again.

It was a few hours, perhaps, by the time she found herself standing in the doorway of the Doctor's bedroom. Of what was her bedroom longer than her other's had been. She didn't step inside, but she did speak. "I'm so sorry."

She'd taken to saying that so often now, she almost couldn't remember the days he had.

Oh, naturally. Naturally he would. Never ending energy, that was her Doctor. And he always wanted to use that energy pushing, prodding, fiddling, and licking things.

She took the brief opportunity she was given to snatch his wrist in a hand, hopefully slowing it a moment. "Doctor..." She resisted the fleeting urge to use their proximity to snog him (or really more likely herself) senseless. For now. "You're...makin' it very hard to think."

Slowly he kissed up her neck until his lips were by her ear, "You're not supposed to think, Rose. You're supposed to enjoy what you're feeling." Grazing his teeth against her ear he smiled, "Do you really want me to stop Rose? Do you?"

She gave a soft, breathless laugh, "Oh, definitely not sayin' that, Doctor..." Difficult as the position was, she placed her free palm against his abdomen. "Just...not often the passive sort, Doctor."

A soft chuckle escaped his lips before he leant over to kiss her, "Then stop laying there and get involved. You could get me undressed," he teased as his hand started it's trail between her legs once more.

She'd have snorted at that, if the proximity wouldn't have lead to unfortunate consequences. Best she didn't, because there was a nagging question left that really did need answering.

"Yeah, but, Doctor..." She bit her lip. It was a bit of a silly question, but Jack had made a good point years back, and it was a question Torchwood and UNIT's files didn't have an answer to. "Are you-are we..."

"Are we?!" He muttered against her skin, "Are we what?" Slowly he pulled back, his fingers resting between her legs where they'd come to stop and he frowned. "Am I...are we?" He looked at her, waiting for her to prompt him a little more so he could actually answer that question.

Oh, brilliant. Now she felt completely ridiculous asking, but she couldn't exactly back out of the question now. And...it was entirely possible, even after six years living with humans, their minds might've been headed different ways.

"Compatible?" In fact, it'd been quite some times since she'd felt nearly so awkward. "I mean...vastly different species, yeah?"

He couldn't help but chuckle just a little at her question, reaching out he took her hand and brought it to the front of his trousers. And yes, low and behold there was what was expected to be there on a human male. It was hard and just that touch made him moan.

"Does that answer the question?"

Very much. She saved the time and air of telling him, however, for that thorough snogging thing she'd been resisting for...far too long. Which just might cloak any fumbling or lingering, later-to-be-denied nervousness at working on the offered clasp of his trousers.

He muttered her name against her lips, soft sounds rolling up his throat as they kissed. He'd been with others, yes, but never had their been this much passion behind them,

As she attempted to undo his trousers, the Doctor's fingers started to move against Roses already slick wetness, moaning

In the end, she resorted to forceful tugging until the clothing cooperated with her. She simply couldn't concentrate well enough to manage anything more efficient.

It worked well enough, anyway, and he had plenty of spares in the wardrobe room. There were more important things to worry about, like being rid of the vexing article.

The Doctor gasped as the clothes vanished and he rolled them, pulling her on top of him as they kissed once more. Slowly his hands travelled over her body, learning the rise and fall of her curves.

"Oh Rose," he muttered against her lips, naked body against naked body.

An easier move by far when there was no clothing to catch on things. Or maybe she simply wasn't paying nearly as much attention as she'd been last time.

She slid nails--not manicured any longer, no, now she kept them efficient, nearly non-existent--along his shoulders, and pushed herself up enough to rest her palms against his chest. Two heartbeats, and it's an odd thing to fixate on, but she never realized how much she loved them until they were gone, and never accepted how much she missed them until she'd found him again.

She bit her lip, turning her gaze from her hands up to brown eyes a part of her believed she'd never see again. Even now, she couldn't quite accept that she wouldn't find this another dream. "I missed you."
