She slid nails--not manicured any longer, no, now she kept them efficient, nearly non-existent--along his shoulders, and pushed herself up enough to rest her palms against his chest. Two heartbeats, and it's an odd thing to fixate on, but she never realized how much she loved them until they were gone, and never accepted how much she missed them until she'd found him again.
She bit her lip, turning her gaze from her hands up to brown eyes a part of her believed she'd never see again. Even now, she couldn't quite accept that she wouldn't find this another dream. "I missed you."
